Oprah has teamed up with a guy named Eckhart and pushing his new book which will be discussed every Monday. She stated, "there couldn't possibly be just one way to God, there are many ways." When someone said ,"What about Jesus?" She said, "What about Him?" She has openly denied Christ and what He has done for us.
She went on to say that man made God and that God is a feeling experience, not a belief.
She said, "holiness is my solution." Then indicated loving, kindness and generosity was the answer.
If you watch the video, you'll see her ask Eckhart to, "lead us in a moment of silence." Boy, that sure takes a lot of effort.
This is such a meaningful event toward the return of Our Lord.
To top it off, she thinks God is jealous of her. I'm not even jealous of her, especially the future of her soul.
We all know what a tremendous following she has. She has already led thousands astray and will lead thousands more. We need to warn everyone we know.
Please view this video and offer your thoughts.
YOU"LL HAVE TO COPY AND PASTE TO SEE IT. It"s worth the effort.

"Come quickly Lord Jesus."

Well, I'm still not getting the video.

However, my thoughts are that it's not as if this is anything new. Since the First Century, people have been denying the deity of Christ and all that goes with it. There are hundreds of "Christian" churches today that preach this very thing.

God is in control. His Church has weathered it before and it will weather it again. It could very well be that His Plan is for America to become secularized like Europe. It may mean that China will become the new home of Christianity. Or perhaps a great revival is in the works. Whatever. His Plan cannot fail, and His Will cannot be thwarted.

I'm not concerned with the big things. He never asked us to make his Plan work. My job is to represent Him to everyone I meet. It's a big enough job for me.

Agreed

Roger:
I totally agree with all you said and usually everything else you post.
Actually, I'm excited about this. It just verifies how close we are to the rapture.
You'll have to cut and paste to view it,
Jim

Up at the house.
Oprah, Dr. Phil and Bono are an unholy trinity. I get nauseous when some fruitcake thinks they can change the world.

Oprah has the most power. I think that if she really wanted to, she could convince enough of her 'followers' (sheep that they are) to completely swing a presidential election in this country.

I'm not really 'against' her, and I'm not a big-time Christian. (But I do believe)

I have just always been amazed at the power she has over a lot of women in this country. Her appeal is almost cult-like.

It's been clear for a while that Oprah views herself as the head of her own little spiritual following. I occasionally catch her show at a friend's house, and in my opinion it's gotten weirder and weirder in the past few years. I heartily applaud the good things she's done, but she always makes me think of Matthew chapter 6:

"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

Jo, I couldn't have said it better. Although I applaud no one who makes a show of their 'good' deeds.

???

I understand the context this works in, but it seems a very harsh statement. Some of us hope to change the world, you know.

I will resist the temptation to comment on this thread, although my fingers are itching.

However, here's a clip from Lewis Black's show on the Comedy Channel where two comedians argue about what is the true root of all evil: Oprah or the Catholic Church?

Warning, some may be offended. Others may be amused.

If people in need are getting help, I rejoice. I don't care where the help came from. If she's doing it for selfish means and gets her reward on earth, that's her choice. That's between her and God. But it still doesn't change the fact that the people she helped are... well, helped. And if she encourages other people to be generous, even better.

Once you've heard the truth, everything else is ju
Oprah herself considers herself a Christian.

And I may consider myself a pot roast. The question isn't whether she considers herself a Christian; it's whether God does. And He's made the entrance into His family free, open, and available. Whether Oprah has taken that step, of course, no one but she--and God--knows.
