Well, considering you can't say Beer before 8 pm on TV is something... but yeah, I grew up watching The Simpsons on Venevisión at 7 pm and as many of my generations will confirm, the series has gone downhill all this decade.

And the thing on the reruns is painfully true. Take for example, El Zorro: A Disney series made on the 50's with only 60 episodes who has been running almost continously on Venezuelan TV. Heck, I even went out in carnival as El Zorro! so did my uncle when he was a kid!

But on the other hand, Venezuelan television has been quite carelessly also. See. here they even used to pass Robocop and Terminator on late afternoon with some cuts here and there and the doubling didn't have profanities. (Seldom Latin American doubling has swearing leading to funny moments that could be compared to: Die! you disgraceful son of a gun!) but the government is not at all innocent of being a whore seeking ratings. TeVes for example, whose machinery was partially expropiated to RCTV and suppously made to have social public and independent television ends up showing Colombo and G.I. Joe cartoons...

Oh yes, sex and back biting and wet swimsuits 2 sizes too small and lame plotlines and siliconized mammary glands are so much healthier.

Apparently they just declared that Televen (the network) must have to pay a fine for showing The Simpsons and/or 72 hours without broadcasting
