I didn’t see this listed anywhere and apologize if it somewhere else on this board. I signed a three year contract with a small publisher and thankfully the three years are almost up. Actually they did not live up to many of the conditions of the contract but the cost and hassle to fight is not worth it to me at this time. Actually I just want the rights back. My question is if I send them a letter requesting an official release do they have the right to continue to sell my books or do they have to cease all selling activities? What if they don’t send a letter or an acknowledgment?
Thank you in advance for any words of wisdom.
