Has anyone else ever both written and typed their works. If the answer is yes, how often do you go about typing the written stuff? I've been doing it once a day and I don't think it is getting me very far.

I've done parts of my work handwritten and type in sections (i'm too afraid of damaging an only hard copy). I don't really edit as I do it, just type it. At the end of first draft I print, make edit notes and type the whole thing into a new document. I get more organic edits and revisions that way (besides the notes and red-line edits on the draft).

I'm not going out of my way to edit. I just found myself tryping things correctly that I messed up when I wrote them in my notebook.

I compose mostly on the computer, so no extra typing needed. When I do write sections in a notebook longhand, I immediately type them into the main digital MS.

God, I love the computer.

All I have to say is that it's hot, and the guy wi
I hand write all first drafts.

I finish the draft before I put into the computer.

Prefer handwriting the first draft rather than staring at the computer screen. Plus I can sit anywhere I want and relax as I write.

I write all my drafts in longhand. I usually write about a chapter before typing it up and saving it. I also make a hard copy for revisions.

Whenever I do a story, I will usually type it up by chapter. If I wanted for the entire story to be handwritten and then type it, I just wouldn't stick it out.

When I do articles now, I rarely handwrite the whole thing. I might do the intro, then make lots of notes. But I will take that and type out my actual piece. It saves me time also.

The shorter the piece the more likely I am to write on paper and then type it out :)
