Okay, so here's the deal:

I'm way behind my own schedule. So I need a serious kick in the ass sometimes.
My idea: Someone here with the same procrastination problem might support me and I, in return, do the same thing for him/her.
This is how it works:
I'd set myself a deadline for a scene (pretty short times, not too long) and when it's done, I'd email it to the 'procrastination partner' (and yes, I AM good at making up stupid word combinations). He/she would (maybe) read it and give it a short (perhaps one sentence) feedback on it. And that would already be enough to keep my fingers on that keyboard.
Of course, I'd do the same thing for that partner.
I'm not looking for a writing partner, since both are writing their own scripts. I just need a 'real' person that supports the little angel on my left shoulder that is simply not strong enough against the little devil on the other.
Anybody up for it?

Behind you!
I'm not volunteering, but I hope somebody will. I have a good friend who reports that her follow-through improves dramatically if she tells me what she's going to accomplish and by when, and I ask her how it went. Knowing I'm holding her accountable, even though there's no penalty for failure, seems to goad her into action. Right now, I've got her applying for jobs after she'd given up.

Somebody, step up to the plate. This could be good for both of you, you know?

Yesterday, I'd have been all over this. Then I read John August's recent post about character motivation. And realized that my character is pretty much purposeless. I have some major outline rewriting to do!

Maybe by the time ScriptFrenzy is up next month...

Well, I'm up for it if you'll have me. I'm still in the planning stages of my script and not ready to write the scenes yet; however, that doesn't mean I can't provide you with something that I'm working on; i.e. a brief overview of what I expect the act breaks to be, etc. At least something so that you know I'm working on it and if I don't ever seem to be reaching that point where I am ready to write the thing, you can tell me so! :D

What do you think?
