Clarke and Asimov were my introduction to fantastic fiction when I was a kid. I can still remember how fascinated I was by A Fall of Moondust and its very realistic and everyday approach to the world of the future.

This is a horrible loss. One of my favorite reads, and an early one for me as far as Science Fiction goes, is Childhood's End. Clarke was truly a great mind. My sympathies to his friends and family, and to all the fans out there.

I cut my teeth on Clarke and Asimov. I always thought of Asimov as my favourite science fiction author, but Clarke was about as close a second place as you could get. Childhood's End was the first novel I read that truly sent chills down my spine.

Goodbye, Arthur. I hope you now have answers to all your questions. May you rest in peace, and may your name live on to the end of time.
