Granted, I haven't kept super close tabs on this new story arc, but based on the few issues and summaries I've read, and the general storyline (Skrull aliens have secretly been cloning / trading places with superheroes and supervillains for years in advance of a major invasion), and given what happened with Spider-Man "One More Day," does anyone else fear that a major, goofy, "Infinite Crisis" style retcon may be in the works?

Maybe they kidnapped Captain America, cloned him, and the clone got killed!

Yay! Steve Rogers yet lives!

I love the Skrulls, they are the coolest. The Mangalores in The Fifth Element reminded me in no small way of Marvel's most malicious metamorphing extraterrestrials. Why would shape-shifting aliens need to clone humans? No idea, but it sounds evil. Damn their Skrullish perfidiousness.

I'd bet the house that this is exactly what's going to happen.

Not... not my house mind you. Someone else's. But I'd bet it an instant...

So can a lifelong Skrull fan... well, from 1969 onwards, anyway...

...Those guys in the background watching Ben Grimm being creamed by the undefeatable TORGO are all Skrulls having a 1930s gangster fantasy. Somebody, please, make this movie! No more slow-moving angst-ridden "origin" movies, I beg of you...

Oops, sorry, got sidetracked there. Carry on, men.

I actually have that issue! Sorry, geeked out. As you were...

Oh, and I agree this is probably how they'll bring back Cap and retcon a lot of things...maybe even the whole civil war.
