MEZZANINE SEATING

BALCONY SEATING

The pre-sale is on now, but I made the mistake of not joining any clubs or having an AE card. Oh well...I will hope for the best.

It's actually 2 evenings in T.O. FRIDAY JUNE 6 AND SATURDAY JUNE 7.

Got my tickets for Saturday night at the stroke of ten yesterday morning - first row in the balcony, looking straight down the mezzanine aisle. Best I could hope for for $95. (The $75 tickets I was offered were in the very last row, in the back corner...)

KTC, if you're going on the Saturday we should have dinner or a drink (or dinner and a drink) ((or drinks)).

(This whole 'travelling to Toronto on business' thing is enabling me to catch a lot of great shows...)

Sounds great, Willie. I am working on tickets still. I should have kept my Amex card, but I never used it. And the biggest LC fan has never joined his fan club. Sad.

I'm getting tickets with 2 of my WCDR friends, as my wife hates Leonard. I know...but it's her only flaw.

I'll let you know when I get the tickets.

You lucky dogs! I've been a Cohen fan ever since 'Suzanne' way back in the 60's(?). I've got every cd he's produced and use them in my MP3 to soothe my soul when it aches.

I wish he'd extend his tour to Pine, Arizona.

Leonard Cohen . . . is he that guy who did a cover of that Jeff Buckley song?

Seriously, I'm still surprised that the man who wrote something that was deemed "the most revolting novel written in Canada" ended up this huge in the mainstream.

I'm not so sure about "this huge in the mainstream" -- to my mind, Leonard Cohen is the archetypal cult figure. Hannah Montana is huge in the mainstream. Brittany Spears is huge in the mainstream. Cohen is playing theatres and festivals...

I wouldn't say he's huge in mainstream. In fact, I think I'd go so far as to say he's "relatively unknown in mainstream."

As he should be.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's some more venues/dates.

http://www.harpmagazine.com/news/detail.cfm?article=12384

I'm hoping that he'll announce some more North American dates.
(Field Commander Cohen - add some NYC dates, I implore you).

I'm off to sell my jewellry to ensure the best possible seating. This is the ONLY person in the world I would pay those kind of prices to see.

Hannah Montana is a cult in the more conventional, David Koresh, sense of the word.

As far as more dates go, this is billed as a 2008-2009 world tour, with promises of more North American dates after the Europe/festival swing.

Good to know. I think I'll try to score tickets for one of those Canadian dates then - Summer '08 is perfect for me. The Montreal Jazz Festival sounds great.

I think the negative comments could probably be left out. If you don't like him, don't join in.

the 2 dates sold out during the pre sale. They added a 3rd date. I will be so disappointed if I don't get tickets to it. I had just told my daughter that I would take her to the June 6th show for her 20th birthday if I could get tickets...then CFNY announced they both sold out!

Hey, Ray...I just discovered he opens the tour at Hamilton Place just outside Toronto on the 3rd of June.
