Um, How do you delete a post? I know you are supposed to hit the edit button and I did happen on the delete function on accident once when i didn't want it, but can I do it when I need it? Of course not!

Help please- greatly appreciated from techno challenged idiot-

You need to select the delete post box in the edit window, too. After you select 'Delete' there is a window of options. Select delete message.

Now I will reveal the extent of my stupidity- when I click on the edit button- where is this delte key you speak of? I have scrolled up down and clicked on everything I see but can't find it- stop rolling your eyes- I know I'm hopless.:(

Bottom right corner of the edit window. After you click that, the window grows larger showing the delete options.

Oh, I see how it is- playing with my head- you are all evil!

Ok- one more question- I am guessing you can't delete a post you created because I want to delete a post in SYW cause no one is looking at it:cry: and I can not find that old delete key when I hit edit- just save-advanced-cancel-

Or is Rolling messing with me again?

Only a Mod or SuperMod can delete the starting post of a thread. But you can clear all the text from the post and leave some dots: ...

Just treat the post like you would in a word processor program: swipe, delete.

Just sayin', asking a moderator to delete the thread might be a more elegant solution than leaving an empty thread that people keep clicking on.

So how long did your post sit in SYW without anyone looking at it? What forum was it in? Sometimes these things take time, people have real lives, or blink and miss new threads.

...OK, got it. Mystery/Thriller/Suspense, 4 days ago, 1 comment received (remember and say thanks to the poster :)). Wild guess, maybe that comment was enough to convince other readers you didn't need any more feedback? I would've got round to reading it if I'd noticed a lack of responses, most other SYW readers would too, I suspect. Ah well, we'll never know.

True, true- I was also thinking perhaps it didn't need more comments- It did sound like pouting on the above post- I wasn't- It's all cool, but thanks for the reminder to be patient:) (and to thank my poster!)
