I'm just wondering if anyone's noticed a change in Woman's World response times since Jimmy Meiss passed away. I'm waiting to hear about a romance and it's been almost 3 months. Not that 3 months is long at all, but Jimmy sometimes rejected my stuff within one month. I wonder if Johnene is handling all of the subs now, or if they've got someone helping her.

I haven't heard anything, but I'll check around. I do know that after I hadn't heard anything about a submission after six months, I just recently re-sent it with "Second Submission" in the letter. I'm wondering if it's stuck on someone's desk while things are being sorted out. We'll have to see, and I'll let you know if I hear anything.

I'm in Australia, which adds a few days, but even in the best of times it might take five months to get a "no".

I've only submitted one piece since Jimmy's death, and that hasn't been out for very long yet, so I can't contribute any new empirical data. When Jimmy was still the first level of review, my experience was that rejections from her would take around 45 days, whereas rejections from Johnene might take up to almost six months.
