Hi Guys,

Please pray for me.

As you know I am hoping to return to the UK. I am pretty sure it is the right thing that God wants me to do. However I keep on striking out. I have just read an email which was really promising but it didn't open up. Everyone on the Leadershp team liked me particularly the pastor but i still didn't get the interview.

Taiwan is really stressing me out and i want/need to go back. Some people have said that "i need to ENJOY Taiwan then God will allow me to go back. I think that is kinda mean of God if that is what He wants.

Please pray that i will know where i am suppose to be and what i should be doing.

Thanks
Kev

Is it just a job that's keeping you from going back Kev? Could you get a temporary job just to move back, then look for a better one once you're back there? I'll be praying for you and your family either way.

I am mainly applying for kid pastor jobs but yes i could get something temporary i guess. I have just found out that since i can't pop back to the UK for the kid's pastor job i have also lost out on a writing gig. A double whammy!!

Once we sell the house (please pray that we can sell the house quickly) we will have money for the family to move to the UK but i would NEED to get a reasonable paying job very quickly. One possibility is that i go over secure a job and then bring the family over. I don't really want to go this route!

Thanks for praying for me and my family.

Blessings
Kev

Kev, you're in my prayers. God's timing is hard to understand, isn't it? Hubby and I are in a similar situation, we've been waiting for an answer from God for some time now.

Hang in there and God bless you and your whole family.

For those people, I think I'd want to say, "Who has known the mind of God...?" (in Job somewhere, I think).

I'll be praying for you, Kev. What I do know about God is that He is Sovereign, Almighty, and Good. And that He also, for some strange reason, wants our prayers despite that sovereignty. Keep praying, don't give up hope, and keep exploring your options. :)

Praying for you, Kev. I can totally relate with you. Moves can be so stressful and we find ourselves wondering when everything will fall into place. You just have to trust in God's perfect plan and His perfect time. Trust that everything happens for a reason. God has bigger plans for you. He will give you the perfect church, the perfect oppurutnity and the perfect circumstances. Keep your eyes peeled. God often works a lot differently than we would expect. Already ahead of you on the prayers . . . been praying for you for one month! =)

Go to www.youtube.com and type in Big Enough. It should be the first video. I love that song! It really puts things in perspective that no matter how big something seems or small - God is big enough.

Love and hugs!!

You are officially in my prayers. I pray that God's will becomes apparent to you, that He whispers into your ear, planting peace and understanding in your heart. He never moves too soon, nor does he move too late. Your understanding will come--right on time--as is His plan.

I prayed. Hope it all turns out for the best. I've had that, I must move, feeling a few times. There was usually obstructions and delays but I always got moved in the end.

I'll be happy to pray for you, Kev. And like Pat pointed out, really, no one has any business trying to speak for God. He alone knows what exactly is on his mind, and if he's called you back to the U.K., he'll make a way.

It's kind of like when Moses and the children of Israel were at the Red Sea. God made a way where there didn't seem to be a way. And the children of Israel got across just fine.

Their enemies, however...

Up at the house.
Paul went through some stuff, too. I know it's not much comfort when you're hurting, but it's something to hang on to. Of course, I prayed for you. Is the sacrifice the Lord made on your behalf worth your present sorrows? Is the reward at the end of this life enough to make you tie another knot in the rope and hold on a little while longer?

I hope you are encouraged.

Dear Father, I pray that you would give Kev your peace in this situation. I pray that if it is your will, you would open a clear path for him and his family to move back to the UK. In the meantime, please give him patience and help him to place his trust in you. Help him to be secure in the knowledge that your will is soveriegn. Amen.

Just my own little piece of insight here, but I am always struck by how God keeps us "on the edge." Two days ago, it seemed like a sure thing that my husband and I were moving to Boston, and that's still where we REALLY want to be. We thought the company was flying us out for a last in-person interview. Then yesterday hubby got a call saying that they actually want to do one more phone interview before they get us plane tickets. And it's not until Tuesday! So suddenly, yet again, we're back on the edge. Waiting. Wondering if this will all fall through. (Before this, Baltimore seemed like a sure thing, but that fell through.)

But so many times I think that's where God puts us, intentionally, because he wants us to trust him. He wants us to put our faith in him and acknowledge that if anything good does happen, it is from him.

And so many times in my life, I have been SO disappointed when something I wanted DIDN'T happen. Why didn't God give THIS or THAT to me? It seemed so perfect! And then later, maybe several years later, I realized that the path I had been given, the one I had originally not wanted to take, was the right one for me. In retrospect, God knew what I needed better than I knew myself.

Which is not to say that he doesn't delight to give us our hearts' desire... he just makes you wait for it until you've put your trust in him.

ARGH! Why, God, WHY? ;)

Another prayer sent your way Kev, as you know God is always watching over us and all prayers are answered in his time, he knows when the right time will be, and it will be perfect

God Bless,

Mike
