I think they're open to submissions until May. The tricky part about submitting to a new magazine is that you don't know what type of stuff they like. This one says to send them anything, but even so, they're going to end up having their own style that you won't be able to see until they do at least one issue, but probably more. That's one of the reasons I sent in five things.
A couple are science fictiony, two are what I'd say are mainstream and one's about bigfoot. Depending on what happens, I might wait a few weeks after getting these back and send a few more in April.
Sorry to hear about the rejection, Jeanne. Writing a funny rejection letter might be a good idea for a contest or an article. Oh, and the best way to write an acceptance is the way Clonepod does, which is to write "Submission Accepted" right in the email title. That way you don't have time to worry about it between seeing the email title and clicking on it.
