I have a thread that I want to launch in either "Politics and Current Events" or maybe just "Take It Outside" (not sure which yet). Those are the kind of forums where you really should be as clever as possible with your thread title (espeically since this is a writers community).

Well, I have an absolutely KILLER thread title in mind (at least I think so), yet it requires no less than 87 characters (including the spaces) and I don't know if the board's formatting allows that many. I have found a few thread titles with as many as 83 characters, such as "FAQ: Cathy C's Formatting Manuscripts for Submission - All your questions answered!" and the "flaming banana pit" thread. But none as high as 87 (and I'd really prefer 93).

It would look so SILLY and not be nearly as funny if my thread title got cut off. So I just refuse to post it uintil I get an answer.

Anyone have an asnwer????

Thanks.

Okay--I did it. And I got my answer: 85 characters (including spaces).

Here's my title:

2012 is the new 2000(Just when you thought it was safe to look at the calendar again)

I would have preferred maybe five or six extra spaces to allow me use quotation marks and a colon and maybe stick the word "or" in there, but I settled for this.

Clever I think. :D
