I was shocked to find out that AW has an erotica section. Sex is sacred activity. As writers, we shouldn’t take the time to write disgusting stories. Rather, we should use our talents to educate the masses on the sanctity of sex.

I understand your feelings, however, I truly believe that writers are students of people and their interactions, and our work would not reflect life in a genuine manner if we held back on discussing one of its most vital components.

Sex is part of life. If we leave it out of our writing, it would no longer reflect reality. If you don't want to read or write about it, that is fine, don't.

Personally, I think shunning writing about it or reading or whatever is worse, because there are people who get a warped sense of Sex because of the taboo and can't even have a healthy sex life in the sanctity of marriage because they have been bombarded with messages of sex being bad their whole life. Sex is wonderful and beautiful and should be celebrated.

Why? People write about eating and that can be considered disgusting. People do TV commercials about poop. What is more disgusting than that? I think writers should write about anything they think is interesting.

Sex is not sacred it is the core of human existence. Without it, we wouldn't be. Most multi-sexed species on this planet practice it, thought it's called "mating" for the lower species. Sex should not and cannot be sanctified - it should be glorified!

In fact, even by the most liberal of all scientific standards, I doubt that anyone could possibly imagine that what I did could possibly produce offspring. Not on this planet anyway.
