Hey, all! III, BruceJ, and Jonny Ryan Mac and I just got back from a Christian writers' conference. One of the tips we picked up was that there are a whole lot of Christian authors and writers (and even agents/publishers) on www.shoutlife.com--a sort of 'Christian facebook.' This site can be a terrific networking tool for you as a writer. I'd encourage you to check it out, especially if you are a book writer. It even gives you an opportunity to put up your book's cover or your website in your profile. I joined just yesterday, and have had about 70 hits so far. Bruce and Jay have also joined, with similar response. (And they have books to promote!)

True dat. I had 90 profile views the first day, so if you're registering as an author make sure you set up all your links and pictures correctly right off the bat.

I tried to register but they want represented authors. I am not! How can I register?

Huh? I just logged in and made an author account. There weren't any questions about my publisher. In fact, poking around, there are folks with author profiles who haven't written books. Did the site actually not let you create an account?

I went back and had a look. It still said i needed to represented but i just put my details in and that worked.

No, didn't. Went and looked at the groups I am already in over there and we don't do anything. So I decided not to, for now anyway.

Yes, same thing with me. I got invited to join so many groups, it got a bit overwhelming. It'd still be neat to have an AW contingent over there--just to know who's there, but we probably wouldn't do much since we have this site.
