It's a good article. I was afraid it was going to offer a 'formula' for a great intro. Too many how-to books and tip sheets treat writing as if it's an arcane mathematics study that we can learn by rote.

This just shows a commonality of purpose in different successful intros. Pretty basic, but still good to scan when you're casting about for a place to start.

Thanks for sharing. It's an interesting article and definitely one to remember.
