Some agents who ask for a query are specific that they don't want to see a writing sample. Ok, does this also mean it would be a bad idea to include a one page synopsis?

As always, thanks.

I've always been of the opinion that if the agent asks for something specific, you should give them that specific item.

But then, there are about as many different opinions on that topic as there are different people on this forum...

I would say that if an agent doesn't want to see a writing sample then they don't want to see a synopsis. I don't really base this on anything other than my sense from when I was doing agent research a few months ago.

Well, the first 10 go in the mail tomorrow so wish me luck. Just sending a query to the agents of ilk of Martin, Farland and Moon gives me butterflies in the tummy. Actually getting one as an agent would probably give me a heart attack.

Good luck, Dragon-lady. I hope you get some requests to submit more! You think sending is giving you butterflies...just wait until stuff starts showing up in your email and mailbox. Keep us posted.
