When do you follow up?

About 2 months ago, I sent a copy of my full ms to an agent who requested it. After a brief email exchange in which she acknowledged having the attachment. I have heard nothing since.

My instincts have told me that following up too quickly would be very bad. When should I follow-up????

Yes, I know this topic has probably been discussed before. But I didn't find any links.

Usually, wait three months. Only if they tell you a specific time can you say something earlier. Even then, I'd wait three months.
