I was just looking over the site of Zoetrope and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with this site and it's online screenplay database. I notice you can submit them etc. Any thoughts?
A few years ago I signed up to Zoetrope out of curiosity, but having to critique 8 awful scripts before being able to post my own awful script required a bit too much effort. Ditto with Triggerstreet to a lesser extent, tho' I was active there for a while, until I just couldn't take any more.
I've never heard of anyone being "discovered" through Zoetrope or Triggerstreet but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. And Zoetrope runs an annual contest.
Thanks for your replie dpaterso, sorry i didn't do a search first i will try that next time.
I don't mind to review other people's sciprt (even if some of them are god awfull) everyone can use help. The contest sounds prety intresting though.
I think you only have to review 3 scripts on triggerstreet, but that can be hard enough. You can't choose which script to review, so it can be a long and awful experience if you're unlucky.
It's probrably just me but i don't see what everyones problem is with reviewing other people scripts, i mean your helping other by doing so and for a starter (which I am) you might even learn a thing or two from other people's scripts.
