I saw that someone had posted that she had queried two other agents at Inkwell Management over a four month period and "received two rejections."

I was under the impression that querying more than one agent at any particular agency is frowned upon by the agency. But Nathan Bransford made it clear that you "query the agent, not the agency." If you get a rejection from one agent, is it ever OK to query another agent at the same agency?

Yes, but wait a few weeks at least in between, and in this case a personalized query couldn't hurt to demonstrate why this second agent is as good a fit for your project as the first was supposed to be....

Just double check the agency Web site to ensure that it doesn't explicitly state that a rejection from one is a rejection from all. I don't think that's common, though.

Yeah, some agencies specifically say that if you've queried one agent at their agency you've queried them all (generally I think they pass around query letters that they think might interest a colleague). However, there are others where, once you receive a rejection from one agent, you're free to query another agent at the agency. You just have to do your research to figure out which policy the agency follows.
