This exercise is a collaboration between two writers. The first poet writes about longing (for something, someone, somewhere, etc.), the second writer contributes a poem about the satisfaction of that longing.

Here`s a start....

My heart craves
Bright blue sky
and feeling the
breath of warmed
sunshine.

My eyes see
leaden gray sky
through horizontal rain
joining the puddles
that formed weeks ago.

I crave tropical
fruits, atop perfectly
grilled shrimp.
Served by white
coated waiters
on a moonlit night.

I hear the unrelenting
drip, drip, drip of
winter`s latest storm
instead of the
soft shush of waves
on a sandy shore.

I crave spring
and the colors of
the garden
as it puts on a
show to chase away
the clouds.

I crave spring but
I`m drowning in winter.

=====================

OK - next person writes about the satisfaction of longing for spring (and food and tropical shores...)

Clouds' whims among air,
clear the sky all but brief,
the same moment you stare,
such a warmth craving thief.

As the rich and important,
scheme and crassly skyscrape,
your sky is your elegant,
dream-filled escape.

Her taste on your lips,
as no other soul knows,
hints of sand on your hips,
summer's passionate throws.

Any sky hides your dream,
ever there, in the mist,
if you just let it seem,
it is you she just kissed.

Ooops--I was prolly s'posed to leave a "first poet" one then....

Gimme geld,
let me hold that folding jack,
to buy me homes,
relax with snacks.

Work, I know.
But try as might,
deaf ears, blind eyes,
turn might from right.

Free my day,
manna: fall!
paint my Appalachian
pall.

I held my breath
my hands they shook
I had to take
another look.

But, it was true
they all were there
I uttered a quiet
thankful prayer.

Then I screamed
for with all my might
it brought my husband
panicked with fright.

As the truth dawned
on his face
he began to smile,
he began to pace.

We made a call
and then we knew
worry about money was
completely through.

We hit the big one
and the craziness began
from newspapers to television
we made a plan.

We quietly hired
some experts to do
all the worry
and then we were through;

our days are filled
with sunshine and fun
we hit it big when
we hit the One.
