I saw this article online just now and thought it had some interesting stats about books bought online.

In the US, 57.5m customers were estimated to have bought books. But that only equated to 38% of internet users.

It doesn't break it down by what kind of books, unfortunately. Though I do have to wonder, does this lean more toward non-fiction book buying rather than fiction? Considering the amount of business and textbooks that are continually created and bought by professionals and students?
