Are you, like me, fascinated by the new glut of survival programs? Man VS Wild, Survivor Man, Wilderness Man. They're all on the Discovery channel, the best channel--for my money--out there.

My favorite is Les Stroud, the Canadian Survivor Man http://www.survivorman.ca/. What's yours?

I adore Les Stroud! He inspires me to never go outside, because, really? Gross, cold, scary, gross, ugh. I cannot watch that show enough.

And THIS is the only thing I've ever read/seen about the guy from Man vs. Wild. I think it's brilliant. I enjoy wwtdd.

Survivor Man makes me cringe. I KNOW for a fact that if there's a global holocaust I'd be the first to die. And I'm fine with that.

(Watching Into The Wild reconfirmed that feeling. There's no way I can survive being on my own in the wilderness of Alaska).
