Just wanted to interrupt for a second, to share a bit of good news with everyone. (Hate the fact I needed to start a new thread, but what can ya do?)

Right after New Year's I received a rejection from Samhain for my latest story, but being the stubborn little thing that I am, I sent it out again. This time I got a more positive response.

Liquid Silver Books--asked for the full. :D

The Wild Rose Press--asked for a partial. :) (Champagne Rose)

Kind of makes up for the other (very nice) rejection I got from Ellora's Cave today.

Okay! Back to your regularly scheduled posting, er, programming.

Sonarbabe,

Love your Acceptance/Rejection Pledge commitment - it's inspired and so right on mark as to how much an author has to put herself out there just to get anywhere. Also, great site! Got no idea how to do book trailers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated since my first novella is coming out in a few months and I'm trying to get a site up and running by then.

Thanks if you have time to tutor a newbie!

Thanks everyone! :Hug2:I sent off the partial to TWRP on Wednesday and the full to Liquid Silver yesterday, so now all I have left to do is finish editing one of my other manuscripts and send that one off to Samhain. Eventually, I'll get around to writing something new.

I got a reply back from the aquisitions director at Liquid Silver. While she enjoyed my manuscript, the heat level wasn't quite hot enough for what they're looking for. She said that if I spice up the heat level that she would like to take another look at it. Considering for most of my writing life I've been either told flat out, NO or to submit another work, I'm taking this as a very good sign. I haven't heard back from TWRP yet, but no one said I couldn't make a copy of the ms and tweak with it. :)

I'll let you guys know what TWRP has to say when I find out.
