Hi, me again.

If you were going to "pimp" a motorcycle, what are the top 3-5 things you would do? It's for a 10-year-old, and it should be super-stylin' and very shiny.

1) Make it faster.
2) Make it faster yet. (ok...I'm being repetative)
3) Lose the chrome, everybody does chrome. How about matte black and make it look like a board track throwback? REAL enthusiasts would "get" the reference.
4) rubberized grips on the gas tank (for your legs...'cause it's THAT fast LOL!)
5) Two gears, "go" and "go faster"

Some of those suggestions are all in good fun, but if you can't beat someone in a race, all the paint and shiny stuff is just makeup on a whore.

Amy
(who's grandfather actually raced board track)

PS. just some other ideas if you didn't like the above ones...

LED strips on the tail pipe that change color and chase blink speed dependent on your speed.

Glow in the dark or UV "under painting" so you can see it as a reversed image or alternate image

Detachable Bat'leth somewhere around the handlebars, or they could be a bat'leth. (ok, I'm a geek at heart too. See a really cool set of weapons here: http://www.klingonimperialweaponsguild.org/ )

Seriously, pimp the speed.

and flared "guards" for the queen seat position so your calves and ankles don't accidentally bump the tail pipes.

I'm loving that Bathleth idea. I have one, and a bike....off to attach the two now!!

I'd go with the 'make it faster' too - new exhaust system, race tuned engine, new gearbox, nitrous etc. You can never be too fast!

For looks, a nice paint job on the tank and fairing if it has one. For a ten year old? Power Rangers? Loony Tunes? Doctor Who? My son would loooove any of those ( he's nine)
I saw a real nice bike a couple of years ago painted the exact same as a can of 7up, with all the bubbles too. Matte black paint for the rest, or maybe glow in the dark paint ( ooh I want that for me!)

Cool! Could you give me some more details about the new exhaust system? What parts do you need? How would you describe these things (since I'm writing it has to sound as cool as it looks)? What would be a great engine to get in there--light but fast?

And what the *%&$# is a Bathleth????

Seriously though, thanks a MILLION!

Ohh I just answered your other post.

Well anyway - new exhaust system = race cans. They don't nescessarily look all that different to normals.

Engine - I'd go for a Ducati ( duke) personally. For a specific engine, how about the Ducati L Twin cylinder Desmodromic - used in the completely droolworthy Bimota's

As for a Bath'Leth, I take it you're not a Trekkie - it's a 4ft long Klingon sword. Pity the fool who tries to burgle me!
