101 Reasons to Stop Writing

Giving the Gift of Reality, this Holiday Season

Well, this is an interesting site! I was searching to see if there were any calendars for writers and found this one, called the demotivator. What do you think? Reverse Psychology? Fun? Too much negativity?

I found 101 Reasons to Stop Writing via Nathan Bransford's blog, and I love it. I'm prone to pessimism, so it's nice to know I'm not alone. Also, I love the dry wit so very much.

The series they did on Nanowrimo was particularly hilarious.

I enjoy this site. The spirit of the site is actually oddly supportive. Yes there is the negative construct, but he's basically just saying if you are going to write be smart about it.

I don't know about the rest of the calendar, but the one that's pictured just makes me think that whoever came up with that isn't a writer. LOL!

I like this blog (been reading it for awhile now) but it's getting a touch repetitive.

Sean needs to come up with some new things to make fun of. He keeps rehashing the same "You can't write" jokes without giving enough reasons.

That said, it's on my blogroll and I check religiously :)

If anyone is hunting for a calendar, check out this one:

http://www.organizedwriter.com/calendar.htm

It has no pictures, etc., but it reminds you to submit, query, etc. I use it every year (I print it on some pretty paper to give some visual interest).

I do need a calendar, and I will download this one, but I mainly need a wall calendar. Two, actually. I'm really fussy with calendars. I can never find ones that I really like.

I have searched and searched to find a wall calendar for writers, about log cabins, about cooking or about the cartoon Family Circus. Nothing. Ever. C'mon, no cooking calendars? I don't want the ones about wine or with artistic paintings of chefs and fruit, but one with hints, tips, recipes, etc., I found a Joy of Cooking page-a-day calendar, but no wall calendars. :e2bummed:

That site is pretty d*mn funny. I tried Nano in 2002 for a couple of days but just couldn't get into it. The people on the Nano forums just talked about how much coffee and Red Bull they were sucking down and what other Nano'ers they were chatting with at coffeeshops.

I've been using this calendar (and the Side-Tracked Writer's Planner) since 2001, in addition to a giant desktop calendar. :) I'm tempted to buy the one pictured, though, just for fun.
