How is it useful?

There don't seem to be any... I don't know... ways of making use of the thing... can't even click a buddy list name to see a profile... I don't know, maybe I'm missing something... or maybe I haven't qualified for - whatever it is I'm missing out on.

The buddy list was invented specially for me, so I could think people liked me. :D

It enables you to see at a glance who among your buddies is online (comes in handy if you're more in the mood for PMing than posting).

You can also select buddies on the list and send them PMs right from the Buddy List window.

Oh, and if you're a mod, it has a few other features in Naked Mode... but I've said too much already.

my own little world
I put people on it and then pretend they actually like me.

It's a nice little ego boost.

Stalker? Huh? What do you mean? :tongue

Anyone? Anything at all?

I'm on another forum that was conveniently based on the same format as here... the buddy list is, essentially, useless. Even when you open it all it tells you is if someone is online. You can't navigate from it at all, at least not that I've found.

On the other hand, the "ignore" feature located in the same settings is VERY useful. I used it to great effect to block out an annoying blow hard at the other forum, and found the experience not only very satisfying, but quite peaceful. :)
