I'm trying to write this sentence, the blood spread out all over the wound. Or something like that, but the whiole thing seems awkward, maybe because of the word spread. I don't know how to say this verb in past tense.

Can you help me?

The past tense of "spread" is "spread."

I would suggest changing the sentence all together. The awkwardness seems to come from blood spreading over the wound, when blood should spread from the wound.

My two cents.

How about 'the blood flowed from the wound'?

Not only from the wound, but it would probably: cover, ooze, seep, gush, pump, splatter, drip, gurgle (man that was anal of me... sorry.)

um. maybe something more descriptive?

:)

A distinctive red spread out onto the bandage. Sorry this is so hard for me, but sentences are easy for everyone else.

No, Blue. Sentences are not easy for everyone else. Learning how to write good sentences takes time and effort. There are no easy shortcuts. The more you work on it, the easier it will become for you.

Is it possible for you to take some courses in the mechanics of writing? I don't know if you're someone for whom English isn't a first language, or if you are a native English speaker who has been poorly served by your educational experience to date, but I think you might really benefit by learning more about how grammar and syntax work.

Even though it might be expensive and time-consuming in the short run, in the long term I think it would probably be really helpful for you to have some focused help in getting a better grasp on the basic toolkit of writing.

Please note that I don't mean this to be insulting in any way--you are clearly someone with ideas you want to express. Right now, you don't have the language skills to express them the way you want to (at least, that's what your posts seem to indicate). Think about taking a class, or classes, as an investment in getting you where you want to go.

The dictionary is your friend. Note item 1 under "intransitive verb".

I'd go for seep or seeped.

1: to flow or pass slowly through fine pores or small openings.

Or a comparison if the character is shocked at the extent of his wound: the blood stained the bandage like a molten setting sun covering the ocean.

May be a tad into the purple prose but it's just an example. :}

Blood blorched out of the wound, spritzing all over as it exsinuated from the area of maximum blitzitude.

Spread works just fine.
