We are always pretty quick to speak up when an editor treats us poorly. I want to be just as quick to give credit when someone goes above and beyond in being helpful and polite.

Marge Simon, editor at Star*Line (the magazine of speculative poetry published by the Science Fiction Poetry Association) has been extremely kind to me over the last couple of days. I had a couple of issues regarding two poems that I placed there, one already published, one pending, and Ms. Simon went out of her way to very quickly fix the issues...even when it turned out that part of the problem was my fault because I had given them a physical address to a PO box that I no longer rent.

:e2smack:

Fantastic person, and fantastic editor. :)

Good on ya, Scott. May you and Marge both be the subjects of much more good treatment in the future.

Would this be something you might like to link to the Bewares & Background Check forum? The title sounds ominous, but there's plenty of room there for positive feedback.

Hey Rob. I didn't really know the right place to put it. B&BC, as you suggest, sounded a little ominous, and my comments are directed pretty specifically toward other poets, so I posted here. If I goofed, sorry :D

Nah, it actually fits well here -- why not? Poets may well look here first. Maybe I can put a link in B&BC too. I'll check it out.

I thought that said Marge Simpson.

I was really curious about that. Is she real?

I bet she's never heard that one before :p Very real...as is Star*Line, which has been publishing the best speculative poetry since about 1978. Check it out here.
