I'm starting to think that it won't last that long...The writers have too many good wishes going their way, and the Actor and Director guilds are backing them too well...

Just in case you missed it: SMILE!

i know they're definitely worried about the january tv schedule. many shows go on hiatus* for the month of december and come back in january and some don't even start until january which means (as in the case of 24**) they haven't finished writing all the episodes and may not air it at all if the strike continues.

*i've noticed the closer and saving grace (tnt) have come back on a shorter than usual hiatus probably b/c the scripts were already written.

**sutherland is going to jail or rehab anyway so that's another problem for that show.

The other major complication re: January is that it's also when most pilots are filmed, and with no pilots filmed, it can severely limit the choices made when the shows for the fall season are picked. Admittedly they should have most the scripts needed, but they would have used the time for polishing scripts at least.

So it should be an interesting January...
