Is there a magzine other than Blackgate that handles adventure stories the kind it publishes?

I'm not sure what kind of adventure story you're referring to, but I had a reject from Black Gate, and later the story (basic dragon, enchantress type fare) was picked up by All Possible Worlds. You might want to give them a try.

Sword and sorcery, pulpish stuff. Magazines that would publish Robert E. Howard.

Flashing Swords is one of the leading markets for this type of thing. And I'm not just saying that because I submitted something to them this morning.

Wow, that just goes to show how fickle the markets are. I just got my copy of #2 with my story in it. I had no idea that it was closed.
