I could seriously use a writing buddy

I would love to be a "bouncer-offer". I don't really have any qualifying expertise. I have a bunch of poetry I've workshopped in AW. I have one completed short personal story, a first novel about half way through the initial writing and a second short story completed and ready for editing.

Mostly, I write poetry. I've only recently launched into more serious writing. I have 3 or 4 memoirs in AW, also.

I'm in San Diego, I like your sense of humor (as displayed in your profile at least ), and am also looking for a writing buddy. It sounds like you have an insurance story of your own. I have a 3 1/2 year old son who was diagnosed with diabetes a month and a half ago and we are finally putting to bed the insurance fiasco that ensued.

Ideally I'm looking for someone that I can coauthor something with, but I'm also open to friends that keep you to your goals. BIC etc. I have two WIPs of my own as possibilities if you're looking to coauthor. One project is a couple short kids books based on the bedtime stories I tell my kids. My other project is a very not-kids book that's action/fantasy genre. The general plot is sort of Harry Potter for adults (good and evil wizards at war), with relationships from my own life, and atmosphere sort of X-Files-like fantasy/horror. I can send you a synopsis on either WIP if they sound interesting to you, though I'd like to hear what you're working on too.
