October 12, 2007 = broke the record for female Ibizan Hounds when she turned 16.
November 22, 2007 = tied the record for the longest lived Ibizan Hound (the record was set by a male Ibizan that died quietly in his sleep when he was 16 years, 41 days old).
November 23, 2007 = breaks the record and is now the longest lived Ibizan Hound
WOW! A few weeks ago I didn't think she would make it and now she's turned the corner and is still going strong.
The prayers & support of our friends, family, vet, and others have made her long life possible. Hopefully, she'll be with us until she turns 17 or ????
Caveat - The AKC only keeps records of births as does the AKC Health Foundation (I've called and spoken to them both). I am a member of an Ibizan Hound web group that has many, many breeders as members. The group has provided me with the above information so all of this is "to the best of our knowledge and information".
