Welcome, welcome! :)

One of my best friends is in the funeral industry. She's training to be a mortician, but she's an apprentice right now. She's a tiny thing, the last person you'd expect to be in that industry. She has recently been learning about embalming, and is quite eager (?) to do it. *shudder* But, I'm so glad there are caring people in that industry, because someone really needs to have a good heart to do it properly.

Welcome to the boards, Nivvie! My brother was a licensed funeral director and worked in that industry for years--he loved it. Hope you do well. :)

Helloooo!

Am I the only one who hears the stretched out "Hellooooo!" in Mrs. Doubtfire's voice?

Anyway, Hi Nivvie! Nice to meet you. This is a great site, full of very helpful people. Hope you stick around. :welcome:

Thanks folks.

It's been three long years but I'm nearly there, and I know I'll love it. There's actually quite a lot of ex-nurses and such in the trade, I think it's all quite related, the continuation of care.

And embalmers are good people, the institute journal is the only publication to put me into print!
