Expanding from my other 24 thread, how about a Best Death award for a character in 24? Any series is up for grabs as is any dead character.

So, my nomination at the moment is Chapelle in Day 3. That was harsh.

Gosh, so many to chose from.

My #1 vote goes to Kim being eaten by that stupid mountain lion.....wait. That was what I imagined happened. Du'oh!

Loved Mason going down with a nuclear warhead. Nice way to kill off a (mostly) unlikeable character.

For the surprise factor, my vote still goes to Terri Bauer's death at the end of season one.

Best death...

I liked Victor Drazen's death at the end of Season 1 - pure Jack rage, he fired off the entire clip and continued firing after Victor's corpse was floating in the harbour.

David Palmer was a real shock for me - a gasp out loud moment.

Ryan Chapelle was horrible. As was Terri Bauer.

Can't remember if he died or not, but you've got to give points to the guy Jack tortured with a lamp.

I think that was Paul, Audrey's ex-husband. He did die eventually but it wasn't from the lamp - I think he took a bullet saving Jack's life. :)

Or how about in Season 2 when when Nina killed Faheen using nothing more than the sharp edge of a gift card she stole from a furniture store!

Yep, that was impressive. The cunning minx.

I would have counted Tony's death as the best but as he isn't dead, I don't think I can.

Edgar? OK, he was a fat nerd, but that was pretty grim.

I've seen Mr. Bauer interviewed and he said Edgar's death, in his opion, was the most impactful moment in all of 24! Maybe he wanted a divorce all along?

...cause sometimes you just need a slap on the hea
Spock's death in Wrath of Khan.

:Wha:

Unless one of the characters was watching the movie on tv... I'm going to assume that you were joking. But just in case you weren't, we're talking about the television show '24'.

Anyhow, back on topic: I liked Marwan's (actor Arnold Vosloo) death at the end of season 4. I loved the self-satisfied smirk he gives to Jack just before he plummets to his death.
