This seems like a dumb question, but I've seen comments that you shouldn't submit even a different novel to the same agent "too soon." But what is too soon? How long should I wait if I want an agent to consider representation on a different novel? Thanks.

Are you talking about querying the same agent who rejected a previous query? If so, I wouldn't worry so much about that. He/she remembers stories and concepts much more than he/she remembers names/email addresses.

If you're talking about querying an agent who rejected your requested partial or full, well, then he/she probably requested that partial or full because of your writing or voice.

Either way, I'd say it's okay to do.

Ah, well both of the above is the situation since I will query a handful of agents who work with my genre. Thanks!

There was a short time that I queried two projects at once- I did resubmit and get requests for partials on the second - I don't think the time frame would matter -- agents get a lot of queries - Maybe Nathan has an opinion on this -
Nathan?

By the way is there a forum here for getting feedback on queries? If there is one thing I hate it's writing query letters--except that writing a synopsis is worse. :)
