MTS SYW October Challenge

Hmmm... I like the challenges but didn't get to do anything last month.

Here are a few suggestions to be thrown around:

For the month of October we could pick something to include in your excerpt, like:

A rocket-propelled grenade
A man in a clown suit
A mysterious taxi driver
A phone call in the night
A Colt .45
A gangster
A bus
Etc.


Or we could select to write something about:

Vengeance
Redemption
Betrayal
Hope
Poland
Paris
Faith
Knowledge
Etc.

I think it's more fun if we decide on one specific thing and see each person's take on it but it doesn't really matter to me, in the end. The writing of it is the important thing.

Anyone care to discuss and come up with something?

Something spooky in honor of Halloween. (Okay, I admit I have a bias as I am writing a ghost story. )

Hmm, I guess redemption and vengeance would be overall themes but spotting them in one chapter might be hard...

Of course I could write a new chapter!

I'm with narnia on the ghost story but not fitting those categories in the first chapter. How about "foreboding"?

Why limit ourselves to chapters then? Why not include, let's say - a 2,000 word limit short story?
