I found the forum a few days ago...

I'm so glad I did.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and make some new friends.

I write children's books and along with so many, I hope to be published one day.

I'm also a stay at home mom that home-schools my eleven-year-old son.

We are very active with our local Christian Home-Schooling Association & my son loves being home-schooled.

I have a very supportive and loving husband.
We've been married 11 years and counting..

Glad to have you aboard, Renee! My parents discussed home-schooling when I was a kid, and settled on private school, instead. With the state of public education, I'm always hugely relieved when I see parents (responsibly) take their children's educations seriously.

RE: Home-Schooling, we just love it and give it our all.
So many in my area have pulled their kids out of public school to home-school.

We keep a strict routine and school properly.

I have even started a Science Club for our group. It kicks off in March.
Man, it has been tons of work, but the creative side in me never shuts up..

Hi Renee,

My upstairs neighbours, who I've known for over 25 years, homeschool their four children. We all laugh when people ask about socialization; the kids have a busier social calendar than any of the adults in our house. The eldest started performing in productions of Shakespeare when she was 11 ! Have you ever read the book "Surviving the Applewhites" ? It's about a very creative homeschooling family. Lots of fun
