Is it me or does Iggy look better now than he did in the 80s? That man is second only to the cockroach in indestructability. Go Iggy!

I love that song and this is the first time I've seen the video. It makes me miss New York. New York at night is something everyone should experience before they die.

Okay here's a bit of weirdness. Am I the only one who thinks Yellow Ledbetter has a strong Hendrix vibe in the guitars? Am I hearing things? Actually it's cleaner sounding than Hendrix, similar to SRV's sound but not the same...

It's just a very strong Hendrix vibe in my ears. Or maybe I'm just obsessed with all things Hendrix and Vaughan?

Okay and here's a bit of fun http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgpIkvl6hUU

Laugh away but I just love Pizzicato Five. They have better videos for the visuals but that's such a good song. It's so sweet. It's like candy. Not the really good stuff. Not lustily decadent like chocolate(Bet ya want chocolate now. I just made you want chocolate, yep-yep.). Doesn't have the bite of a good piece of saltwater taffy. You know the kind. Sorta fights back while you're eating it. No it's more like maybe, PEZ or those little packets of Hello Kitty candy you can grab in line to pay for your ridiculous purchase of a Hello Kitty waffle iron because damn! It's Hello Kitty and she's so-o-o ***cute*** and awe [insert non-existent Hello Kitty emoticon here].

I should probably grow up. But uhhhh...

I don't wanna :tongue

It's intentional. They sometimes tag it with Voodoo Child or a Hendrix's arrangement of the National Anthem.

I just found Paths and Planes and Future Gains by Armageddon. A heavy metal prog band that came out in 1975. They had a lot of potential, but unfortunately Keith Relf (former lead singer of the Yardbirds and Rennaisance) died and the band broke up.

The video is just shots of their debut album, along with shots of Captain Beyond albums because the drummer, Bobby Caldwell was also in that band (along with Johnny Winter and Rick Derringer) and shots of Renaissance's album covers.

But the music is just awesome in my opinion. (Youtube also has their song Silver Tightrope, which is a slower song and many of you have probably heard on AOR radio.)

New fave...

Old B-52's performance video.

No need to mishear these lyrics. Yeah she sang "I'll give you fish, I'll give you candy, I'll give yoo-hoo everything I have in my hand". But I'm liking the surprisingly good surf vibe from Ricky's guitar + Kieth's drums + Kate's organ right now.

Back when this stuff was new I was so beguiled by Cindy and Kate's voices, that I didn't listen to the instruments as much as they deserved to be listened to.
