I don't like Spam.

Or spam. The email crap you get in your inbox is spam, no initial cap. The spiced ham crap you get in a roll top tin is Spam.

I never cap it because when talking about electronic spam it's not a proper name or a trade name when used in that sense. At least that's how I look at it.

Yeah, I think Spam the meat-by-product is the noun, wherein spam the crap in your in-box is a slang term and not privvy to a cap.

I don't like spam or Spam (Spam, Spam... eggs n' Spam!).

after awhile, it doesn't even look like a real word.

I don't capitalize spam to junk. I would cap Spam the would-be meat, though. ;D

Old woman: Shut up! Shut up! Bloody vikings.

<------ obviously listened to way too much Dr. Demento in his youth.

Dr. Demento played that at one time? I have the original Monty Python vinyl albums. I also have a Dr. Demento on vinyl, too. Doesn't have spam on it though.

I'm wondering if this shouldn't just be moved to Office Party now.
I once had a Python album that most definitely did have the Spam sketch on it. I don't know what it was called, but it looked like a classical album cover with black crayon scribblings all over it.

I'm wondering if it's "Matching Tie and Hankerchief." I'll check when I get home. I know you're dying to know.

Oops. Sorry, missed your next post. I think that one you have there is like a re-release or something.

Shadow, I've been listening to Dr. D. off and on since 1973. Got to meet him about ten years ago . . . he's usually the guest DJ at Marcon (Columbus, OH, Memorial Day weekend).

He's played a LOT of stuff over the years, but I've heard a number of Monty Python sketches on his show (Spam, The Lumberjack Song, the Norwegian Blue, The Argument Room, for a few).
