Thanks, Glenn. :)

Here's hoping all our pets stay safe and healthy--and best wishes to those that have suffered as a result of tainted pet foods.

OMG--Oarsman, thank you, thank you and huge doggie hugs from our Dachshund mix, Lucy, and Lab mix, Bo. We just started a new bag of chicken jerky treats on Tuesday. By Wednesday, Lucy was walking tenderly, her ears were down, and she's been drinking huge amounts of water (She only gets one treat a day!) By the end of the week, Bo was distressed, too, but is bigger and it was not so noticeable. Lucy saw the vet today and they drew bloodwork, but were somewhat puzzled because overall she checked out fine. Tonight I see your post and we checked the bag. Yep. Made in China. We are discontinuing jerky treats IMMEDIATELY. Because of your concern, we probably caught this before a critical problem developed. You've made permanent friends at our house.

Amy,
I'm so glad this post helped Lucy and Bo! One of the articles I read mentioned that smaller dogs are more likely to get sick from the treats. I've also run across a number of blog/forum entries from dog owners about the sickness these treats are causing. Excessive thirst is one of the symptoms.

I hope Lucy is feeling better--keep an eye on her.

Wow, Amy. That was too close for comfort. Glad your baby is going to be okay!

And, Glenn...thanks again! You quite possibly helped save a life. :)
