As I sit at my desk, ignoring my office work, browsing AWWC, and contemplating life, I am struck by the realization that you guys (((inspire))) me. You may get discouraged, depressed, dejected, yet you still press on - with enthusiasm to boot! I love reading about your plans, your acceptances, and even your rejections. The point is, you're making moves with your work. And I admire you to the fullest.
Although I finally landed a book deal, I feel myself (and my muse) slowing down; I'm not as excited about writing as I used to be. My advance wasn't what I expected, so I feel a bit apprehensive about putting my heart, soul, and sweat into another project. Sounds ungrateful, I know. But blame it on that first six-figure-advance author.
HOWEVER, when I enter this pristine site filled with ambition and hope, I come to my senses, return to my keyboard, and write absolutely! In short, you're all stars in my book. And I just want to thank you.
