Behind you!
Of course it is, unless you portray them in a bad light. If they're going to be incompetent or crooked, make up a name, but if they're just going to be eBay, feel free.

Maryn, who uses Jell-O far too often

i could retire with a fraction of what eBay pulls in a day. besides city taxes, car registration and the lottery, it's got to be one of the best scams ever.

but, i'll say it: eBay is evil personified, er, pixelized. sue me.

by the way, check out my auctions. i've got some star wars crap i'm practically giving away at low, low, unsane prices! everything must go! (hey, i never said i was *against* evil.)

I can't believe no one has has hijacked to say what I think every time I read this title.

Yeah, when we write we're using words. It's what writing's all about, man.

(Don't mind me. Carry on now. Nothing to see.)

From How Stuff Works:

"The gelatin you eat in Jell-O comes from the collagen in cow or pig bones, hooves, and connective tissues. To make gelatin, manufacturers grind up these various parts and pre-treat them with either a strong acid or a strong base to break down cellular structures and release proteins like collagen. After pre-treatment, the resulting mixture is boiled. During this process, the large collagen protein ends up being partially broken down, and the resulting product is called gelatin. The gelatin is easily extracted because it forms a layer on the surface of the boiling mixture."

Yum!

You can mention anything that exists as long as you aren't gratuitously dissing it. Without brand names where would chick lit be!

Wait, so bone tissue is "ew" while muscle mass is still okay? What do you think your burger is?

(I'll eat any dead thing, any time. Makes me feel manly.)
