I just got an email saying a poem of mine's been published online at Haruah so of course I rushed over to have a look, and it was wonderful and perfect until the eye dropped down the page to the accompanying Googley ad and saw "Pet Urine Remover". Couldn't it have at least been an ad for indigestion?

Congratulations, Jenny -- it's a lovely work. The idea of litter becoming beautiful is splendid and evocative.

It's a shame the Google gods weren't kinder, but I'm sure you're in very good company!

Thanks, guys, for clicking, reading and offering me hope. Swords are definitely better than pet urine remover.

Congrats on the publication Jen! When I read it, there was a couple of those "Publish Your Book" ads, so not to worry. Like W??? said, nobody reads those things anyway. And I loved the poem :)

Jenny,
That was a beautiful poem. I didn't even notice the google ad because I was in a rush to come back here and tell you that :). I loved it and bookmarked it.

I enjoyed your poem. Nice rhythm.

I have built-in blinders that block Internet and TV ads, so I didn't even notice what was pitched to me. I don't pay attention to them. My husband, on the other hand, absorbs ad-song and market speak. He is not proud of this; it simply is. Name a brand; he can sing the jingle.
