Warning--spoilers ahead--those who haven't watched their Tivo-ed versions yet may want to look away....

Have they moved on?

Okay, I admit the main reason I tuned in last night was to see Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart present an award, and see Colbert finally win. But, alas, it wasn't to be, and Barry Manilow wasn't to blame this time. Loved that America Ferrara won, although she was up against some pretty big talent. Also pleased that Jamie Pressly won for My Name is Earl; I respect the lady like mad for speaking--and knowing the difference between--at least four different Southern accents.

The last award I saw coming from a mile away, especially after the 'Jersey Boys' number. And I was rooting for Denis Leary to win Best Actor Drama, but oh well.

No. :(

Okay, I was pleased for Katherine Heigl and American Ferrara, but for the most part...meh. Biggest let-down for me was the Drama Series winner. I was rooting for everyone else. Oh well.

Thank GOD that the Sopranos is no longer on the air. They won't hog all the sympathy votes. :wag: And no, I haven't watched it, nor am I dissing it for spite. I just wanted some of my favorites to win.

I was surprised Katherine Heigl won, actually. I always wonder what episodes they submit. I like her, and have for years, but I think there were better nominees (like Chandra Wilson).

Colbert and Stewart were excellent, even though Steve Carell didn't win (but I'm happy for Ricky Gervais). There will be some good fodder for Colbert tomorrow, especially since the Daily Show won.

Awesome! Glad to here that Stephen Colbert won. I wonder if The Office won anything. Love that show-though not as much as the British version

What the heck? Was it some sort of Sopranos Lovefest because it went off the air? What a load of crap.

And I'm pissed that Monk didn't come home with more awards. It's a travesty that Tony Shahoub didn't win.

Half those shows I've never even heard of.

Still amazes me that The Office would even be nominated for anything.

I suppose I'm glad that a couple of Brits won (Ricky Gervais-Extras and Helen Mirren-Prime Suspect). But since I don't like Ricky Gervais and don't watch Prime Suspect, I find it hard to get excited.

On the whole, meh.

I'm glad that 30 Rock got the best Comedy award. That show is funny, and only getting better and better. And America Ferrera's win is awesome.

Also glad that the Sopranos is finally off the air. Sheesh.

And James Spader? Say it isn't so.

Like him or not (personally), Alec Baldwin was robbed.

I only saw Helen Mirren's speech about how Americans are generous, but have a lot of bad qualities too. Did she get beaten up afterward by hordes of Americans? Anyone know?

Watched the show for a bit, then changed the channel. I don't care what colour the soles of Eva Longoria's shoes were.

Please note I have nothing against the good people of TV handing out peer awards, recognition for doing a good job is a wonderful thing. I just thought the show itself was boring as all get-out.

I don't think I've ever watched an awards show.

I also don't think I've missed anything :D

It was one of the dullest shows ever. Then again, look who hosted. Blah.

I liked the tribute to Roots and the Family Guy song as the opener. Beyond that, it was pretty darn dull. I guess FOX doesn't like flashy shows.

Speaking of which, anyone know what they censored from Sally Field's acceptance speech? Considering FOX will air gruesome torture on "24", I really want to know what she said that made them cut away.

Wow, the censors cut that, but they leave in all the sexual innuendo in Two and a Half Men[SUP]1[/SUP]. Can't say goddamn, kids might go on a killing spree! Idiots.

1 - Probably why I really like Two and a Half Men. ;)

It seems to me that there was a lot of bleeping going on in that show.

They cut away from Ray Romano when he was doing his bit. And they did it again for some other people, too.

I didn't watch much of it.

Completely disappointed.

And how awful was that Bennet/Aguilera duet? She looked great, but the performance was lacking, I thought.

When one of those chicks won, the girl from Grey's Anatomy, I saw her mouth "Oh shit" when they called her name. They cut away from her then.
