Literary Novellas

I've decided to take a new approach to reading and dissect the books I read for their constituent parts and the like. I suppose the best way to do this would be to start with shorter works and work my way up, which is why I am asking for everyone to suggest some novellas to read. I've read The Metamorphosis and Notes from Underground, and I know about Of Mice and Men. I bought Seize the Day by Saul Bellow yesterday. So, if anyone has any suggestions for some novellas of literary quality, just tell me.

I love Notes from the underground and Of Mice and Men...two of my favs.

My absolute favourite novella of all time...one I've read about 15 times and will never tire of:

TOO LOUD A SOLITUDE by BOHUMIL HRABAL. Beautiful, beautiful book. It's only about 85 pages long...a one sitting book.
