Try Pubmed. It's for medical professionals and can be a little involved, but there really isn't a better place to look for medical information.
I suspect the symptoms will vary slightly from drug to drug, but you might find this article about amphetamine overdose useful: http://www.emedicine.com/EMERG/topic23.htm
Cath's links are good. The symptoms and signs are pretty straight-forward. In the central nervous system you see agitation increasing to hallucinations as the toxicty goes up. Most life-threatening toxicity is to the cardiovascular system: increased heart rate and blood pressure to the point where the heart's demand for oxygen to keep up the increases outstrips the supply, leading to abnormal heart rhythms or even heart attack. Cocaine is well known to do these evil things to the heart.
Hubby accidentally overused caffeine while working on his doctorate. He had a paper due and drank 3 whole pots of coffee while working all night.
Anyway, afterwards he couldn't sleep, was agitated, sweating and looked like he was going to pass out. We took him to the doctor and his blood pressure and pulse were very high. They gave him a shot of a downer of some kind and sent him home. Except for bathroom & water breaks he slept for 3 days.
Don't forget the tingling scalp! We used to abuse white crosses to pull all-nighters in college. I'd get the racing heartbeat, cold sweats, tingling scalp, a disconnected high, sore teeth, tight jaw, VERY upset stomach, the shakes. It still beat studying ahead of time, though.
