I can't seem to find a diagram on how deep reflection pools usually run, the one in DC is only 18" deep but at the Twin Towers they quote 30'.

Thirty feet or thirty inches? Thirty feet isn't a reflection pool its a resevoir and drowning hazard.

Alrighty, so far the deepest I've seen is 36 inches. Not deep enough to hid a body in.

I imagine depth depends on how each reflection pool was designed.
At the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial there is a reflection pool. I have never seen a depth listed just "shallow" and it is - it appears about as deep as an average puddle.

If it's the DC reflection pool, if memory serves me correctly, you couldn't hide a body there. Maybe at night, but come sunrise it'd be discovered.

Well, it would be pretty silly to have a deep reflection pool. The purpose of a reflection pool is to reflect. There's no swimming, no boating, usually no wading. Why pay for a million gallons of water, over and over as it recycles, when there's no earthly reason to do so?

I saw a reflecting pool on the Travel Channel once that was dyed black with some kind of walnut concoction. I can't remember the name of the garden it was in, but you could more easily hide a body in water like that.

Most of the ones I've seen in caves appear to be VERY deep, but that's because they're reflecting the arc and the ceiling above them. In actuality, they're usually between four inches to a foot and a half deep, depending on the source of the water.
It's an eerie effect though, especially when dimly lit by a flashlight.
