The Accused
The Deer Hunter
A Clockwork Orange
Nobody Knows
The Bad Lieutenant

Not because they were bad movies at all... but rather because I was so, so, so traumatized by all of them. When my husband and I finished watching The Deer Hunter, I didn't even want the DVD in my house anymore.

"The Way We Were." I went with my wife to a theatre in Manhattan. Fell asleep shortly after the opening credits, woke in the middle to use the john, fell asleep and woke for the ending credits. Rex Reed a critic at the time for the Village Voice said something like: "This is the first time the leading man is prettier than the leading lady." That's the only thing I want to remember about that movie.

There are many I haven't seen and won't (Nacho Libre, sequels to any of the above), but that wasn't the question. :D

Requiem For A Dream, but again, not because it was a poor film, but because getting punched in the psyche like that just once did the trick.

Oooh! Me too. What a piece of crap. Lots of pretty people to disbelieve and dislike in that one.

Wow, I'm really sheepish to say I really liked that one. Great performances. Good writing (though a bit stage play-like), some powerful dialogue. And some seriously flawed characters. Maybe that's why I liked it -- the characters are not likable, but they're fascinating to watch, as if I were watching a train wreck...

Sin City. This is the only movie that has ever, really really made me want to vomit. I felt so icky and disgusting after this movie that I wanted to go scrub myself off with soap in the shower.

Also, Schindler's List. I think it's an amazing and an important movie that people SHOULD watch, but I also think it's something that's not "entertainment," if you know what I mean. I wouldn't watch it for fun.

The Matrix...imo, way overrated. I haven't seen the 2nd two nor do I want to.

Fight Club

Natural Born Killers, or pretty much any Julliette Lewis or Oliver Stone movies. Well, Platoon, Born on the 4th and JFK are good.

A Clockwork Orange (it's a monumental film... just not for me).
Full Metal Jacket (I got violently sick watching that movie).
Brother Grimm (WTF was that?)
The Promise (tripe galore)
