Best Publishers?

My girlfriend has a finished manuscript and is about to start sending it out to publishers. She's doing her own research, but I was curious and figured it couldn't hurt to ask some advice on her behalf.

I realize it's always going to depend on finding a good fit for the manuscript, but who are generally considered to be the "best" or most prestigious publishers of poetry books?

Generally academic presses. IMHO there simply aren't many. I would suggest looking in the poetry section of your local bookstores for any publisher putting out work by living poets.
